I love simple things that are really, really well designed. This is one such. It's rugged, the area that catches drips from watering or overwatering is genius, and the reservoir is huge. Setup was MUCH easier than with my previous so-called easy setup stand (Emerald Innovations XTS3 Swivel Straight Tree Stand For 10' Tree) and the tree is more firmly held in place. The screws have simple but thoughtfully designed handles that make them very easy to grip as you turn. There's also no need to trim off low branches to get the tree into the stand... it's very accommodating.I got a large size, even for a fairly standard 8 foot tree, because my trees usually take up more than a half gallon of water a day. This used to mean elaborate auto-watering schemes if I didn't want the tree to dry out. Now it really does have plenty of water in it for several days (effective volume, once the tree trunk is in it, is just about 3 gal).Very highly recommended. I was so pleased I ordered another one for my parents.
