Our school had a Harry Potter themed assembly, so we hung 50 of these candles from the ceiling with clear fishing line for the "floating candles" effect of the great hall. The candles are quite small (about 3 inches tall), but they're reasonably bright and long-lasting. Each candle takes 1 AA battery, and the remote 2 AAA's. You can use the same remote for any number of candles, but it definitely doesn't have the 30 foot range the box claims. The signal cops out at about 6-10 feet, so don't expect to be able to turn these on from the other side of the room. Overall the candles don't feel like the greatest quality (the packaging has some very entertaining Engrish), but at 10 for $20 I really didn't expect much. Also, they ship quickly directly from Amazon, so there are no problems with order fulfillment or tracking.
